Who are we?

Our aim is to assist young people in making the most of their lives through the medium of sports while encouraging a general cohesion amongst the wider community and creating an understanding that we can all be anything we want in life, and that this life is precious.

leaving a LEGACY

There is a rapid increase in the number of young people who have lost their lives to knife crime as well as those who have had their lives radically altered as a result of prison sentences, life changing injuries or the effects of trauma.  There is also a steady escalation in the numbers of young people who are disengaged or disaffected within our communities.  Many lack a sense of belonging and are searching for something that will clarify identity and corroborate their intention.

We engage young people from the community who are at risk of being lured into negative social groups or other destructive vices.

We do this by providing a space where boxing amateurs can discover their gifts and boxing professionals can develop their craft.

The JOE MORRIS BOXING CLUB provides opportunities through classes and workshops, for the wider community to get involved in boxing as a hobby or a way to keep fit.

“Don’t count the days. Make the days count.”

why Boxing?

Boxing is a game changer and for many vulnerable young men and women - it is a life saver.

Many successful, professional boxers have told the story of their lives being totally transformed through exposure to a local boxing club or to the boxing community.
